Urbana has earned a national reputation as a green city and we are working to conserve energy and water and help solve the climate change problem. I signed the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Agreement and created an Urbana Sustainability Advisory Commission.
Urbana, a Tree City USA award winner, is the leading city in Illinois for enlightened management of the urban forest. We are working to increase safety for bicyclists, pedestrians and cars on our streets.
